Small Group Ministry—Essential for Parish Revitalization AND Community Outreach?
Brian Short is a former foreign missionary and campus pastor with decades of experience leading small groups and training others to do the same. His experience with OCF, Sunday school, and men's ministry for the past 20 years at St. Ignatius Orthodox Church in Franklin, TN, has prepared him to now serve as the administrator and trainer with the Becoming Truly Human ministry of the Antiochian Orthodox Archdiocese of North America where he is currently training local parishes across North America in using small groups to reach out to their family, friends, co-workers and neighbors and experience engaging conversations about significant life issues. These conversations can result in deeper faith commitments by those hosting the groups and result in a welcoming environment for honest questions and sincere relationships between those in the groups. Brian is a subdeacon at St. Ignatius, and he and his wife, Belinda, are the parents of 5 grown daughters.
